Shibori Silk Ribbon 100% hand dyed bias silk shibori ribbon. As it is hand dyed, no two pieces are exactly alike. Images are representative of the color variations. This produces an organic look that many people find desirable. Use this luscious ribbon to fashion beautiful silk flowers, embellish a crazy quilt, or work into a surface design. Opened up to its widest, it is approximately 4" wide. Pleating brings the ribbon to approximately 1" wide adding an additional dimension to your work. Additionally, you should expect it to be seamed intermittently. Both the color and texture is steam set and the pleating semi-permanent. You may wish to alter the texture with a light shot of steam from your iron or remove it completely by ironing flat on a silk steam setting to reveal the lovely shibori dye pattern.
